Leonard Allen Young's Obituary
Leonard Allen Young, 77, of Front Royal died Friday, January 26, 2018 at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was born October 5, 1940 in Hemphill, WV to the late Orlo and Allie Lawson Young.
Mr. Young was a retired US Army Staff Sergeant having served for 22 years. He was an Associate Pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Hollywood, CA and later for Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church in Front Royal. He was a truck driver for many years for Warner Trucking.
He is survived by five children, Duane Young and his wife, Cheryl of Berkley Springs, WV, Donald Young and his wife, Sherry of Front Royal, Yvette Patton and her husband, Tim of Culpeper, Ronald Young and his wife, Wendy of Culpeper, and Richard Young and his wife, Melanie of Catlett; two siblings, Donald Young of Fairfax and Lorretta Collins of NC; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sook-Hee Lee Young; and one daughter, Bonnie Ann Young.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Ron Young officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
