Lawrence Washington Lemaster's Obituary
Lawrence Washington Lemaster, 92, of Rapidan, VA died on Friday, May 30, 2008 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born on September 2, 1915 in Williamsburg, WV to the late Lewis and Bertie Nicely Lemaster.
Mr. Lemaster was a member of Andrew Chapel Church of Williamsburg, WV. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and sports. Most of all he loved the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Jim Lemaster and his wife Douglas Jane of Neeses, SC, Billy Lemaster and his wife, Mary Ellen of Purcellville, Va and Betty Leary and her husband, John of Rapidan, VA, one brother Arthur Lemaster of Chesapeake, VA and one sister Rita Shafer of Annandale, VA, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Mae Lemaster, and his siblings, Gerald, Vicey, Neely, Cecil, Ruth and Maretta.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
Interment will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Andrew Chapel Cemetery in Williamsburg, WV with Rev. Verlin Butcher officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Lemaster’s name to the Rapidan Volunteer Fire Dept. 9729 Locust Dale Rd Rapidan, VA 22733.
