Lawrence Eugene Jenkins' Obituary
Lawrence Eugene Jenkins, 85, of Culpeper passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the University of Charlottesville. He was born on July 20, 1934 to the late Robert Lee and Nellie Rosella Jenkins in Batna, VA
He was a local mechanic for over 40 years. Lawrence loved his family and visiting with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, but most importantly he loved his wife who are now walking the golden streets of Heaven together. He loved doing yardwork, playing cards and fishing with his grandchildren.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Terry Jenkins and his wife, Jeanne of Henderson, NC and Tammy Brown and her husband, Steve of Culpeper; grandchildren, Sibyl Pearce (Dustin), Erin Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins (Kaitlin), Ethan Jenkins (Ciara), Ryan Brown (Brandon), Heath Brown (Cassie), and Fallon Brown (David); great grandchildren; Ava and Owen Pearce, Wyatt Jenkins, Emma, Kinsley and Bennett Jenkins, Lily Jane Brown, Ryleigh and Jaxon Brown, and Hannah Jones, Katie Brown, and Ava Morris; brother, Gene Jenkins; sisters, Dot Jones, and Frances Cordle; and sister-in-law, Doodle Jenkins.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Jane Jenkins, brothers, Bobby Jenkins, Charles Jenkins, and Marshall Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Brad Hales officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
Pallbearers will be Steve Brown, Dustin Pearce, Heath Brown, Tyler Jenkins, Ethan Jenkins, and David Jenkins.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
