Ms. Laverne Kay Woodard's Obituary
Laverne Woodard, 52, of Elkwood died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at her residence. She was born March 28, 1957 in Charlottesville, VA to Eugene and Shirley Fincham Sisk of Elkwood.
Laverne was a very outgoing person that was always willing to help others. She was very close with her mother and father and was with them til the end. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two children, Christie Andrade and her husband, Carlos and George Woodard, III, both of Sperryville, and two sisters, Karen Valles and Linda Bradley, both of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Kelsey, Tavon, Kailee and Angelina Andrade, all of Sperryville, her niece, Rachel Sisk, her nephew, Jeremy Bradley, both of Culpeper and her companion, Larry Ellis of Elkwood.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating.
Interment will follow in Etlan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Sisk, George Woodard, Jr., Ronnie Jenkins, Bucky Sisk, George Woodard, III and Ray Sisk. Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Sisk.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
