Laura Gatewood's Obituary
Laura Hart Gatewood, 77, lifelong resident of Spotsylvania County went to be with the Lord Monday, February 5, 2007. She was a lifelong member of Bethany Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, gardening and sewing.
Mrs. Gatewood was preceded in death by her husband, Loyde, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by three children, son, Clayton Gatewood and fiancee, Carolie Guinn of Spotsylvania; daughter, Diane Humphries and her husband, David of Spotsylvania and daughter, Linda Sue Carter of Caroline County.
She leaves behind eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 11:00 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407 or Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 6519 Marye Road, Woodford, VA 22580.
