Laura Frazier's Obituary
Laura Belle Frazier, 93, of Culpeper died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 18, 1917 in Culpeper to the late Charles William and Daisy Lee Hudson Durham.
Mrs. Frazier was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and was very active with the Ladies Auxiliary and she graciously enjoyed serving the community by various cafeteria involvements, having cooked and served at the Salem School, Pearl Sample and a couple of different childrens camps during the summers. She had a passion for making sure others were fed.
She is survived by her children, John W. Frazier and his wife, Mary Ann of LaPlata, MD, James Franklin Frazier and his wife, Betty of Pfaffton, NC, one brother, William Durham and his wife, Bev of Fisher, IN, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Henry Frazier, one daughter, Mary F. Caroon, one son, Carroll H. Frazier, Jr., two brothers, Charlie Lee Durham and Joseph Durham, and two sisters, Elizabeth Prince and Frances Foster.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Found and Sons with Pastor Mike Dodson and Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
A private family interment will be held in the family cemetery.
