Laura Frese Benson's Obituary
Laura Frese Benson, 88, of Stafford County, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Golden Living Nursing Home.
Laura was born December 19, 1924 to the late Natalie and Ferdinand Frese in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Laura had many interests throughout her life. She enjoyed music and was an accomplished pianist at an early age. The most important things in her life were her family and her church. She spoke German fluently and was an active member of the German community in Wisconsin. She enjoyed a fulfilling career in nursing for most of her life.
Laura leaves behind two daughters, Nancy Immel of Wisconsin, and Ruth Hefley of Virginia; a son, Mark Benson of Wisconsin; four grandchildren; Guy and Arlo Entenmann, Doyle L. Hill Jr. and Raeann S. Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Dillon, Paige, Bailey, and Vincent Entenmann, Harrison, Avery, and Ayla Hill; three brothers, Herbert, and Reinold Frese, both of Wisconsin, and Paul Frese of Michigan; two sisters, Rose Brinkman of Wisconsin, and Elizabeth Houser of Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, H. Russell Benson; her parents; brothers, Otto, Arnold, Oscar, and Bruno Frese; as well as several brothers and sisters in infancy.
Laura’s family will be holding a private service to honor her life and memory at 2:00pm Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the family home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee at a later date.
