Larry Edward Jenkins' Obituary
Larry Edward Jenkins, 60, of Culpeper, went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 4, 2009, at his residence. He was born January 22, 1949 in Charlottesville to the late Hayward Russell Jenkins and Lucille A. (Yowell) Jenkins.
Larry was the owner and operator of Big J Family Restaurant with his wife and 2 sons for over 20 years. He also owned Larry E. Jenkins Excavating and Landscaping for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Culpeper.
Larry was a loving husband and father to Travis, Jerett, Joyce and Rachel, and a Papa to his nine grandchildren. He dedicated his life to his family.
He is survived by his wife Brenda (Baldwin) Jenkins, his sons Travis Jenkins and his wife Joyce of Reva and Jerett Jenkins and his wife Rachel of Culpeper, seven siblings Roger Jenkins of Orange, David (Anna) Jenkins, Danny Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Frank (Robin) Jenkins all of Culpeper, Rickey (Thelma) Jenkins of Madison and Sally (Roy) Corbin of Rixeyville.
Additional survivors include his three granddaughters, Angel, Alyssa and Tanya, and his six grandsons, Trey, Trent, Austin, Eric, Kyle and Jeremy. Preacher Charles Shifflett was a special friend and pastor.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 7 to 9pm at Found and Sons Funeral chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Va.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 11AM at Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Russell Jenkins officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest memory Gardens in Jeffersonton.
Pallbearers will be Steve Corbin, Mike Corbin, John Baldwin, Jr., Christopher Tash, AC Corbin and Randy Hoffman.
