Larry William Wirman's Obituary
Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and devoted friend, Larry William Wirman of Stafford County passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2026, he was 75.
To know him was to love him.
Larry graduated from Stafford Senior High School in 1968 and Virginia Commonwealth University in 1972 with a degree in business. After graduating, he was employed by his father’s company, Chameleon Construction, followed by self-employment with Jual Contracting (named for his beloved children) until his retirement in 2019. He was a skilled craftsman, working with his hands all his life.
Larry was a selfless individual with an affinity for helping others, always willing to offer his time and expertise to those he cared for. He carried a vast knowledge of construction crafts and trades, and loved to share his talents.
His hobbies included vacationing in Outer Banks, NC, taking cruises around the world with friends, attending Virginia Tech football games, grilling, fishing, and anything his grandchildren were interested in.
Larry’s memory is cherished and upheld by his children, Justin Wirman (Kate) and Allison Erickson; his grandchildren, Mitchell Erickson, Carter Erickson, Nicholas Erickson, Jackson Erickson, Macy Wirman, Victoria Jones, Fischer Jones, and Henri Madere; his brother, David Wirman (Jiahui); sisters, Cathy Rowan (Chuck), Channele Wirman, and Deidre Wirman; his sisters-in-law, Carol Rickerson (David), Wanda Lindquist (Steve), and Tammy Weatherholtz (Fred); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Pamela Karen Wirman; his parents, David and Betty Wirman; and his brother, Christopher Lee Wirman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Aquia Episcopal Church, 2938 Patriot Highway, Stafford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
