Larry Dean Timmons' Obituary
On the 15th of May, Larry D. Timmons went home to be with his Lord to a better place. Larry lived a very blessed life with a great family and many friends. He touched many hearts and changed many lives. Larry was born on September 22, 1943 in Turkey, Texas, he came to Virginia in 1986, a place he came to love.
Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty of Reva, four children, Deanna Savage and her husband, Tim, granddaughters, Susan and Tina of Alvin, TX.; Danny Timmons of Amissville, VA.; Debra Morgan and husband, Tommy, granddaughters, Andria and Amber and grandson, Thomas of Reva, VA.; and Darla Timmons of San Antonio, TX.
He is also survived by two brothers, F.L. and Charley Timmons and two sisters, Linda Gable and Mary Ann Hayes all of Lubbock, TX.
Though Larry only had four children he raised and mentored many who came to love him as a father also calling him Big Daddy.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at 2 pm at Novum Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Light officiating.
