Lam Van Dao's Obituary
Lam Van Dao, 70, of Culpeper, VA, passed away on June 2, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Vietnam on April 24, 1956.
With grateful hearts, we celebrate the life of Lam Van Dao, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a man of unwavering faith whose love for God guided every aspect of his life. A devoted Catholic, he lived with kindness, humility, and a servant’s heart, finding strength and purpose through his faith and sharing that love with everyone around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nguyet Dinh, his partner, companion, and greatest blessing throughout their years together. He was a proud and devoted father to
Jonathan Dao, his wife, and children, Joshua Dao, his wife, and children, Thao Nguyen Dinh, her husband, and children. He is also survived by his cherished siblings, Duc Dao, his wife, children, and grandchildren, Nadia Huynh, her husband, and children.
Tracy Nguyen, her children and grandchildren; Thanh Dao, his children and grandchildren; Hoa Dao, her husband and children; Tuyet Dao, her husband and children; Christian Dao, his wife, children, and grandchild.
Throughout his life, he was a man of many talents and passions — an exceptional chef, a karaoke singer who filled rooms with joy, an avid reader, an artist, and a black belt in karate. He especially cherished his children and grandchildren. No matter how far apart they were, he never forgot a birthday and always found a way to remind them they were loved. His kindness, faith, humor, and devotion to family leave behind a legacy that will inspire all who knew him. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that he has returned to the loving embrace of God and that his spirit will remain with us always.
