Kyle M. Peters, Jr.'s Obituary
Kyle M. Peters, Jr., 86, of Rixeyville died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 29, 1930 in Scott County, VA to the late Kyle M. Peters, Sr. and Cora Gillenwater Peters.
Mr. Peters was a veteran of the US Army and worked for the Culpeper Sheriff’s Department for 17 years. He was a member of Oak Shade United Methodist Church and the Jeffersonton Ruritan Club. He had a passion for farming, dedication to his church and love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, June Thompson Peters; three children, Michael L. Peters and his wife, Lisa, Kyle M. Peters, III and his wife, Wanda, and Mary Peters Gibson and her husband, Greg; and five grandchildren, Drew, Kelsey, Stephanie, Kyle, IV and Kristen Peters, all of Rixeyville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Dr. Earl R. Peters, Veta Maxine Peters and Lena Merril Peters.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Kang Lee officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens with honors provided by the Culpeper Sheriff’s Department.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Little Fork Volunteer Fire Dept., 6011 Rixeyville Rd., Rixeyville, VA 22737.
