Kristen Kendall Payne's Obituary
Kristen Kendall Payne, 34 of Richmond, Virginia died Friday, January 21, 2022 at her home. She was born January 18, 1988 to Daniel E. Payne and Sarah M. Payne. Kendall was an avid horseback rider and loved her horse Gabrina. Kendall enjoyed snowboarding, travelling and fashion blogging. Kendall had an effervescent presence. She was a wonderful sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to many. Kendall was a graduate of Culpeper High School and had a bachelors degree in Mass Communication from Virginia Commonwealth University.
In addition to her parents, Kendall is survived by her brother, John Hamilton Payne (Caroline), two half-brothers, Adam Nichols Payne and Nathan Daniel Payne, her paternal grandmother Ora Lee Payne, her step mother, Jacqueline Payne, nephew Jack Payne, niece Ava Payne and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Hunter Daniel Payne, maternal grandparents, Charles Venable Payne Sr. and Audrey Estelle Huffman Payne, and paternal grandfather, Fred Lee Payne.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper Masonic Cemetery for family and friends with Pastor Stacey Clark officiating. Due to COVID-19, Kendall’s family will be hosting an outdoor Celebration of Life for her on April 2, 2022, further details will be provided.
Pallbearers serving the family are Britton Payne, Nathan Payne, John Payne, Jacob Crochet-Dore, Adam Payne, and Hayden Fisher.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Culpeper 4H program in Kendall’s name at Culpeper VCE, Memo: Rixeyville Riders for local donations or State 4-H Horse Show to 101 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA, 22701.
