Kris & Mary Anne Beacher's Obituary
Kris Owen Beacher, 63 and Mary Ann Beacher, 70, both of Louisa, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017.
Mr. Beacher was a Staff Sargent in the US Army and was proud of his military career having retired after 20 years as a Fire Support Specialist/Infantryman. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He married Mary Anne Whaley on May 14, 2005. Mrs. Beacher worked in the mental health field almost her entire career. She was involved in studying various treatment programs for child hyperactivity at the University of Iowa, and after that went to work as a psychologist in the Virginia Correctional System.
They are both survived by his four daughters, Jennifer Wiser, Amanda Brown, Stephanie Wharton and Elizabeth Beacher; six grandchildren, Emily Wiser, Christopher Wiser, Logan Brown, Noah Wharton, Brooke Wharton and Hunter Frazier; and Mary Anne’s brother, John Whaley and his wife, Shelly Chandler.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW 2524.
