Kim Ann McDermid's Obituary
Kim Ann McDermid, 42, of Catharpin, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010.
Kim was born on June 11, 1968. She was raised in Collinsville, CT, until moving to Reston, Virginia in 1977. Kim graduated from South Lakes High School in 1986 and went on to attend Mary Washington University. For 20 years she worked as a project manager for Sprint and Erikson. Following the 9/11 terrorist attack, she helped to restore Sprint service to Manhattan. Kim was a devoted advocate for Breast Cancer research and regularly supported Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Survivors include three children, Sean, Robert and Amanda McDermid; her significant other, Ernesto Botello; parents, Gerald and Gloria Mahle; brother, Keith Mahle; numerous other friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary McDermid and brother Scot Mahle. Memorial services will be 10 AM on Tuesday, July 13th at the Found & Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Rd. Manassas, VA 20109.
