My condolences to Khal's wife, Clarita, and his family.
I met Khal when I first joined the Xerox Supplies organization in 1971. I was assigned to the 9200 Photoreceptor Quality Team reporting to Fay Tolman. Our nickel belt plating process required frequent monitoring of the plating solution as well as evaluation of incoming raw materials used in the process. We relied on the expertise and efficiency of Khal's lab for our product quality.
Khal and I along with Clive Bubb, John fFnnegan and Austin Vancheri had our weely staff meeting with Fay every Tuesday morning. Khal was precise and thorough in his reporting and highly respected by our group. I enjoyed his outgoing personality, friendliness and gentle humor. It was an exciting time at Xerox.
Later on I occasionally met Khal and Clarita dining at the Penfield Tavern. I miss seeing him. He was a very good man. May he rest in peace.

Mrs. Bahjat and family,
It was my privilege to care for Khal at Linden Oaks in Rochester. He was such a wonderful man. He always had a smile and a great sense of humor, even on his bad days. He spoke of his family with such love. I will never forget the little party we had for him on his last day at Linden Oaks. We all loved him!

I first met "Khal" (as we called him back then) in 1965. I was a newcomer to Xerox in Webster (bldg.218) and, as a statistician, did several analyses for him of his various test results over the next couple of years. He was one of the friendliest people one could ever know. He unfailingly greeted everyone with a smile and a wave of the hand whenever paths crossed in the hallways.
Regrettably, I lost contact with him in 1967, and although it has been 43 years since we last saw each other, I instantly recognized his picture in the Washington Post. It speaks well of the impact he made on me those many years ago. Nobody can forget a person as nice and as decent as Khal.
My wife and I would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to you for your loss. Although there is very little that any of us can do to alleviate your pain, your sorrow will turn to joy at those times when his spirit passes by—and you will know immediately that it is Khal. Relish those little visits. They will bring you a great deal of peace.
There is a saying I learned a long time ago that advises people not to mourn for very long over the loss of their deceased loved ones. Only remember that we shall all meet again, for love is forever. For now, we must be content to know that they simply wait for us to join them.

Dear Mrs Bahjat and Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Khal.
Khal and I worked together for several years at Xerox and I was always impressed by his friendliness, humor and dedication to supporting the Supplies Organization. It was my pleasure to have worked with him. He will be missed but always remembered by his many Xerox friends and colleagues.

Khal will be missed by all the residents of Virginia Heritage at Lee's Parke where he resided. His colleagues in the Tuesday Night Poker Club are donating $50 to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation, in Khal’s name. We will always rember him as a great friend and a caring neighbor.
