We were all partying at Wayno's apartment on route one. Kevin fell asleep in the back of his van and I decided to drive his van to his house. I did not have my wits with me either. So I crashed his van into a stop sign and then drove it back to his house. In the morning Kevin was not real happy with me but rather than fight and kick and scratch he decided to show me how to fix his van. And that's how I learned how to do a front alignment. And put up a stop sign thank you brother.
As the years went on I moved to Atlanta Georgia. Kevin was married to Dawn at this time. And they moved to Atlanta too so we moved in together in Norcross Georgia. Dawn was pregnant with Michael at that time.
I moved on and they moved on. And the next thing I knew he was living in Buford Georgia. It sure did sound like everything was going very well for him he had a car detailing business and was very proud of it.
We had our ups and downs and for a long while I did not talk to him while he was in Buford Georgia. Then one day I was sitting in line at a fast food place waiting for my food and I decided to give Kevin a call. Kevin and his new wife Cecile were not at home I found this out through a housemate that they had that answered the phone.
She told me that Kevin was at his brother Larry's place down at the Virginia, North Carolina border and he fell off the back of a golf cart. He had to be flown in a helicopter to the hospital. To Virginia Commonwealth University Nero surgery critical care unit. Kevin was in a coma for over six weeks. He had to have major head surgery which left him with no hair and big staples in the side of his head it was terrible. That is all the details I will give about his stay in the hospital except for one. When Kevin finally did woke up and I went back down to Richmond again I asked him one very important question. Kevin I want you to tell me the firing order of a small block Chevrolet engine. He looked at me and smiled and whispered in my ear 18436572. When he said that in my ear I knew that Kevin was back and that he would probably be okay.
I must tell everyone that Kevin had the perfect life down there in Georgia he had it all I mean he had it all. I visited them down in Buford Georgia for one week and Kevin was very very withdrawn. I really think that he did not want me down there at that time until he was coming along a little bit better. Him and his wife Cecile had a very beautiful place with the lake in their backyard that was on their property. Kevin had remote control boats that he ran in the lake he had a machine shop and he had a car detailing and auto body shop on the property. He sure had everything he wanted and a real nice wife Cecile was a sweetheart. They even had a barn for a big RV that they had that thing was nice. There were at least four buildings on their property that was a real nice place.
I will not go into details but only to say that the head trauma stressed out his marriage with Cecile. So they split up and Kevin move back to Virginia. Kevin moved in with his brother Larry in Manassas Virginia. I visited him down in Manassas and he seem to be very happy with his brother. He loved his brother Larry so much and I think he wanted to be just like him.
When Larry passed away I believe that really killed Kevin spirit. But Kevin he seems to be a trooper even though he stayed around the house I guess he was waiting for mail in the mailbox. Then he ended up moving to Haymarket Virginia. He lived there for what seemed like a couple of years he even came out and visited me and my housemate Jane and we had a very nice lunch and everything was good he seem pretty good.
When things started to go sour in Haymarket. He asked me for help finding a place to live but there was nothing I could do I did not have my place anymore since my foreclosure and unfortunately I had to turn him down I felt very very bad about that. That was my pal.
He called me about two or 2 1/2 weeks ago and said he was living in Culpepper and he was back to the doctors checking on the cancer he had an
