Kevin John Cosgrove's Obituary
Kevin John Cosgrove, 57, of Culpeper, died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at UVA Medical Center in Culpeper. He was born January 27, 1964 at Fort Belvoir, VA to Dorothy Barnhart Cosgrove and the late Charles Leo Cosgrove.
Kevin loved to work and help others. He built portable libraries for each school in Culpeper County. He loved giving back to the community. Kevin loved to sit with his dog, relax and listen to country music. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Kevin was sober for seventeen years and was proud of his achievement.
In addition to his mother, Kevin is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Barbara Ann Wells Cosgrove; his son, Charles G. Cosgrove; his daughter Caryanna Cosgrove-Chandler (Andre`); his step-daughter, Tammy Sledge (Jamie) and her children, Ann Kines “Dee Dee”, Scottie Kines and Dwayne A. Walker (Jennifer); Cynthia Cosgrove, the mother of his children; four brothers, Dennis Lynn Cosgrove, Casey Kenneth Cosgrove, Donald Cosgrove (Sheryl) and Michael Cosgrove; grandchildren, Rylan Cosgrove, McKinlee Cosgrove, Lyla Cosgrove, Cayden Cosgrove, Bryson Cosgrove and Aiyanna Cosgrove; seventeen step-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren; his dog “Bengi”; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Gregory Cosgrove and Daniel Cosgrove.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ron Young officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
