Kerry T. Downham's Obituary
On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, Kerry T. Downham, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fredericksburg, VA at the age of 69.
Kerry was born in Washington, D.C. and lived many years in Alexandria, Springfield, and Fredericksburg, VA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Strayer University.
He was previously employed at First Federal Savings & Loan, REICO Kitchen & Bath, and for the last ten years at Wegman’s Food Market as Catering Manager.
Kerry is survived by his wife, Kathy Downham; his daughter, Noelle Harmon (Jeff); three grandchildren, Corbin, Noah, and Katie; five siblings, Richard F. Downham, Jr. (Suzy) of Naples, FL, Dennis G. Downham (Darla) of Springfield, VA, Margaret Downham McClay of Locust Grove, VA, John C. Downham (Michelle) of Charlottesville, VA, and Mary Downham Carroll (Jim) of Alexandria, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his infant brother, Doran Downham; his parents, Richard F. Downham, Sr. and Mary C. Downham; and brother-in-law, John J. McClay, Sr.
A private burial will be held at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Spotsylvania. His family will host a Celebration of his Life at a date to be determined.
