Kenneth G. Turner's Obituary
Kenneth G. Turner, 75, of Culpeper, died Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born November 2, 1949, in Arthurdale, WV, to the late Carl David and Agnes Lucille Turner.
Ken is survived by his wife of 30 years, Charlotte R. Turner; his daughter, Tonya Turner Gilbert; step-children, Jacqueline and Ricky Thorn, Richard and Ronald Burke; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two siblings, Dolores Teets and Larry Turner; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-son, Ronald Thorn; and four siblings, David, Carl, Donna, and Sue Turner.
Ken was a retired carpenter after working in the trade for 25 years. He enjoyed bowling, where he received a ring for a perfect 300 game. He loved to fish and would share his catch by preparing a fish fry for family and friends. In recent years, he delighted in driving Charlotte over the mountain in his Mustang convertible, which ended by getting an ice cream. He was a great cook, and everyone loved his deviled eggs. Upon his retirement, Charlotte gave Ken his beloved Mitzy, and for 19 years they were always together.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Brenda Greene officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at 3:00 p.m.
