Kendrick Michael Jenkins' Obituary
Kendrick Michael Jenkins, of Culpeper, passed away at home on August 28, 2021 at the age of 19 following a courageous year-long battle with brain cancer.
He was born March 25, 2002 in Culpeper to Jonathan Jenkins and Tammy Souder.
Kendrick was a 2020 graduate from Eastern View High School. He loyally served five years in the cadet program of the Culpeper County Sheriff's Department working his way through the ranks to Lieutenant. Kendrick’s hobbies consisted of Lacrosse, Legos and Video games.
Kendrick is survived by his parents, Jonathan Jenkins and Tammy Souder; a sister, Ashten Souder; Paternal grandparents, David and June Jenkins; Maternal grandmother, Brenda Souder; uncles, Kevin (Debbie) and Keith Jenkins; Aunt Kelley Cutshall (Jeff), all of Culpeper; As well as loving cousins Ruthie (Austin), Gabbie, Brooklyn, Willow, Trent, and Natilee .
He is also survived by his extended family, the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office.
Kendrick is preceded in death by his grandfather, Clyde Larry Souder.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 6 pm to 7:30pm, followed by a service at 7:30 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Steve Harrellson officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 4, 2021 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley, West Virginia 25801 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office Youth Cadet Program, 14023 Public Safety Court, Culpeper Virginia 22701.
