Katrina Pickard's Obituary
Katrina Pickard, lovingly known as Kathy or Kat, was born on October 4, 1978, and passed away on January 2, 2026. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, quiet strength, and the deep love she carried for those around her.
Katrina was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, David A. Pickard, whose life was forever enriched by her love and companionship. She was a cherished daughter to her mother, Filje Berisha, and is reunited in eternal rest with her late father, Pjeter Berisha, whom she loved dearly.
She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family, including her uncles and their families, Zef “Joey” Berisha, Louie Berisha, and Vaselj Ivezaj, along with many other relatives and friends who held her close in their hearts.
A woman of Catholic faith, Katrina lived with compassion, humility, and love for all God’s creatures. One of her greatest joys was her undying love for animals, and her kindness extended to all living beings. Her faith and gentle spirit guided the way she loved and cared for others throughout her life.
Katrina’s presence brought warmth, calm, and sincerity to every space she entered. Though her time on earth feels far too short, her soul now rests in God’s eternal peace. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers and cards, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Katrina’s memory to the Lisa Pitts Eley Cancer Foundation at https://lisapittseleycancerfoundation.com. Please include “For Kathy Pickard” in the memo.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Dunkin, 10708 Patriot Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
