Kathleen S. Gibson's Obituary
Kathleen S. Gibson, 78, of Rixeyville, VA, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at her residence.
She was born June 17, 1947, to the late Robert Jutson Wince and Mae Virginia Tharp Wince in Warren County, VA.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Lillard (Timothy) of Culpeper, son, Jonathan Wayne Gibson (Angela) of Bealeton; grandchildren, Wesley Lillard (Kaylyn Corbin) of Rixeyville, Bethany Welter (Connor) of Mineral, and Briana Gibson (Madison) of Bealeton; great grandchildren, Emma and Elijah; brother, Harry Wince (Ellen) of Clover; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Gibson, brother, Wilson Wince; and sister, Patricia Creel.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. Interment will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Memory Gardens. 4160 Rixeyville Road, Jeffersonton, VA 22724.
Pallbearers serving the family are Jonathan Gibson, Timothy Lillard, Wesley Lillard, James Wince, Keith Rose, and KJ Lillard.
