Kathleen Cerio's Obituary
Kathleen Cerio, 72, of Culpeper died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Culpeper Health and Rehab Center. She was born November 9, 1946 to the late David and Bernadine VanMarter in Syracuse, NY.
Kathleen worked for MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, for over ten years in Northern Virginia. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. She enjoyed interior decorating, but most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John L. Cerio of Culpeper; children; David Cerio and wife, Waverly of Manassas Park and Kelly Fairbank and husband, Richard of Reston; grandchildren, Emily Cerio and Matthew Cerio both of Manassas Park and Cody Fairbank and Vanessa Fairbank both of Reston; and brother, Timothy VanMarter and wife, Cynthia of Fayetteville, NY.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, David VanMarter, Jr. and Terrance VanMarter.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Rev. Ludwell Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, 502 E. Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA.
