Katherine P. Thomasson's Obituary
Katherine P. Thomasson, 89, of Culpeper, died at her residence on Friday, January 15, 2010. She was born December 17, 1920 in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Richard Payne and the late Lucy Payne Payne.
Mrs. Thomasson was known for her love of gardening and reading.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay Mepham of Alexandria and Gail Soloviev of Culpeper. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Donna Hutchinson, Kathleen Harkness, Linda Smith and David Byrne, and and nine great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jessica, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Victoria, Hannah, Aidan and Samantha.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Thomasson, and her sister, Louise Pettey.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Andrew Chapel, 1732 Brooke Road, Stafford, Virginia, with Pastor Renee Teague officiating. Interment will follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria.
