Katherine Fowke Weaver's Obituary
Katherine Elizabeth Fowke Weaver, 86, of Culpeper died on Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Home. She was born on January 19, 1923 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Louis Linwood Fowke and Susan “Toula” Glover Fowke.
Mrs. Weaver was a member of Culpeper United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Crown of Charlemagne, Daughters of the Barons of Runnemede, Magna Charta Barons, First Families of South Carolina, Colonial Dames, Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America, Daughters of the American Revolution, Jamestown Society, Huguenot Society, Peyton Society Home Dem and was a Pink Lady at the Culpeper Thrift Store.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. Weaver of Locust Grove, VA, her son, James Weaver and his wife, Linda of Midlothian, two grandchildren, Adrienne N. Weaver, A. Natalie Weaver, one step grandchild, A. Michael Scott, one great grandchild, Molly Moloney and one step great grandchild, Alec Scott.
Additional survivors include her sister-in-law, Constance Fowke of Columbia, SC, her nieces, Patricia Wood of Columbia, SC and Susan Lemmon of Charlotte, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Weaver, Jr. and her brother, Rev. J. Louis Fowke.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A private interment will be held at Culpeper National Cemetery.
