Katherine Elizabeth Walton's Obituary
Katherine Elizabeth Walton, 27, of Culpeper, VA, peacefully entered Heaven on Tuesday morning, March 15, 2016, to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Kathy was born on December 28, 1988 in Subang Jaya, Selangor, West Malaysia, to Kevin L. Walton and Kimberly Sampson Walton.
Kathy was home schooled and graduated from high school in 2007. She completed an advanced program in Graphic Design and earned her Associate of Science Degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Penn Foster College in 2010.
Kathy was an avid fan of the author C.S. Lewis and his series, The Chronicles of Narnia. She served as a moderator for the online forums of Narniaweb for several years and made many friends from around the world. Kathy was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Boston, VA where she was a tremendous inspiration to all who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her parents; her sister, Amy Walton; her brother, Ben Walton; her cat, Tucker; as well as her maternal grandfather, Bob Sampson; her paternal grandmother, Marylyn Walton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Joyce Sampson and her paternal grandfather, Elvin Walton.
A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Kevin L. Walton officiating and Rev. Steven Harrelson co-officiating. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.
A private family burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions made in Kathy’s name to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
