Katherine Reeves Rinker's Obituary
Katherine Reeves Rinker, 84, of Rockville, MD died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at The Village at Rockville. She was born May 7, 1927 in Shores, VA to the late William and Mary Pace Goodwin.
Mrs. Rinker lived 20 years of her life in Woodbridge, then 20 years in Moneta, VA and was living the past 15 years in Rockville with her husband when she was called home to be with the Lord. They were members of Trinity Ecumenical of Bedford, VA. She loved to paint and had finished many pieces for her friends. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family to whom she was devoted her entire life. She was our mother and we will miss her deeply. We already do.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ray David Rinker of Rockville, MD, three sons, David Lee Rinker of Culpeper, Keith Albert Rinker of Gulfport, MS and Richard Edward Rinker of Huddleston, VA, eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Additional survivors include two brothers, William J. Goodwin of OR and Edward C. Goodwin of Scottsville, VA, one cousin, Shirley Wilkins of Mineral, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 11 am at The Village at Rockville, 9701 Veirs Dr., Rockville, MD 20850 with Pastor Thomas Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in National Memorial Park in Falls Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.
