Karen V. Lafley's Obituary
Karen Larson Lafley, died July 8, 2008 at her home in Fredericksburg, Va after a long battle with cancer. Born November 29, 1942 in Viroqua, Wisconsin she moved to Alexandria Virginia where she attended Groveton High School and met her husband John. After marrying John in 1965, they moved to Charlottesville where they had two sons, Matt and Andy. As a family they enjoyed camping trips, boating, and sports. She attended VCU and received her Master’s Degree in Social work. She had a successful career as a LCSW while working in Fredericksburg, Richmond, and Philadelphia.
Karen is predeceased by her father, Howard P. Larson, and her son, Andrew Charles Lafley. She is survived by her mother, Valborg Larson; two brothers, Peter and David Larson; husband, John; son Matt; daughter-in-law Saundra; two grandchildren Madison and Colin; and many nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 12th at Found and Sons, Funeral Chapels, Fredericksburg, with the Reverend James Cunningham, officiating. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at foundandsons.com
