My husband and I were followers of Karen in the 80s. She was an amazing vocalist who would sing “send in the clowns “ when we walked in because that was his favorite song. I hope she remains an inspiration to local talent. Marjorie Perdue and Tom White. Fans forever.
Karen was one of the best vocalists I had the pleasure to accompany, and I have accompanied people like Mel Torme, Joe Heatherton and and Bobby Vinton. She was not only a great singer but also a great personality at WMAL Radio and a person who loved life and people, and one of my dearest friends. She will be missed.
