Karen Leigh Franklin's Obituary
Karen Leigh Somers-Franklin, 56 of Lynchburg passed away at her home on Saturday, June 11, 2016.
Karen had many interests in life, but most important to her were her friends and family. She loved to laugh. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. She is finally breathing easy and dancing with her son.
Karen leaves behind her daughter, Amy Jones of Lynchburg; her mother Shirley Somers of Fredericksburg; a brother Linwood Somers (Laurie) of Tennessee; 5 sisters, Donna Lancaster (Steve) of Fredericksburg, Teresa Shields (Robert) of Lynchburg, Lisa Berry (Ronnie) of North Carolina, Juanita Phillips (Keith), and Jeannie Carlson (Kevin) both of Fredericksburg. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Franklin, her father Linwood Somers, and her son Donald Somers.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Karen’s life at 11:00am, Saturday, June18, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels located at 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
