I was so sorry to hear of Karen's passing. She was such a special lady with a beautiful spirit that captivated everyone she met. I was hoping to make it to the funeral today to speak with you in person, but unfortunately I will not be able to attend now, However, I didn't want that to stop me from letting you all know how grateful I was that Karen came into my life.
I work at the pharmacy where Karen would get her medications, and if she had a question or two she would call and we would talk. Over the past few years I got to know her a bit, and I'm not sure if she knew it, but Karen taught me a thing or two.The best lesson Karen ever taught me was about perseverance. I didn't know a lot of specifics about her situation, but I did know she had a rough road to travel in this life. And what always amazed me was how she could do it with such a big, beautiful smile on her face, day in and day out, ready to face anything that came her way with the strength, courage, and determination of a strong women. She was amazing!
Please know I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I wish there was something I could say or do to make it better, but I know there isn't except to let you know she will not be forgotten. I will continue to pray for Karen everyday.
Sincerely,
Terri O'Keefe
