Jullian Irving Grante's Obituary
Jullian Irving Grante, 73, of Washington, D.C., passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at his home in Fredericksburg, VA.
He was born to the late James Landis and Mamie Landis. Jullian was known to everyone who knew him that he was a charismatic, thoughtful, very encouraging, well-educated man who loved to share his love of the Lord with everyone who knew him.
In his professional life, he was an Air Force Veteran who took two tours of Vietnam and also received the Purple Heart during his time of service. After retirement, he became a businessman, lobbyist, and writer as well as several volunteer opportunities with local and international companies. In particular, his writing The Day Our Towers Fell, is registered in the documentary collection of historical records at the National Museum of Washington.
In his free time, he loved to spend time keeping up with all his grandkids and his new great-grandson. He was savvy with help from his son-in-law with regular family Zoom meetings and attending local family events. Jullian enjoyed reading, music, spending quality time with friends and neighbors, and hosting bible study in their home. He was a long-standing member of Potomac Valley Church and was very loved by his community.
Jullian is survived by his wife, Jo Draper Grante; his two children, his daughter, Jamil Weaver, and her husband, Mike Weaver, and their kids, Blake, Kailah, Jianna and Zoe; his son, Dusan Grante, and his children, Faith and Savion; and many other extended family and friends.
