Julius "J.B." Robert Barnes, Jr.'s Obituary
Julius “J.B.” Robert Barnes, Jr., 55, of Amissville, died Friday, March 14, 2025, at the University of Virginia Hospital. He was born November 3, 1969, in Warrenton, to Barbara Jean Barnes and the late Julius Robert Barnes, Sr.
J.B. was a grouch with a big heart. He was very witty, and the toughest person everyone knew. He loved drag racing and tinkering with anything, but especially cars and small engine repairs. J.B. enjoyed hunting and fishing and would do anything for anyone. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandson, Mason.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Deanna Marie Barnes; one daughter, Claudia Noel Barnes (Brandon Gray); one grandson, Mason Elijah Gray; three siblings, Richard L. Barnes (Tonya), Brian Barnes (Dee), and Terena Perez (Mike); and six nieces and nephews, Abby Barnes, Gracie Barnes, Shelby Barnes, Taylor Barnes, Jared Perez, and Casi Perez.
Services will be private.
