Julia Brooke Monaco's Obituary
Julia Brooke Monaco, 89, of Culpeper died Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. She was born on November 15, 1924 in Culpeper, VA to the late Joseph and Genevieve Quaintance.
Mrs. Monaco was a member of the Culpeper Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her three daughters; Madeline Clarke and her husband, Ronald of Fredericksburg, Margaret Monaco and her husband, Jay of San Francisco, CA and Ellie Elliott of Baltimore, MD; and her sister, Margaret Ellen Clark and her husband, Dr. Douglas Clark of Brewster, Mass.
Additional survivors include her grandchildren; Trevor Clarke and his wife, Adrienne, Christine Rogucki and her husband, Joe, all of Fredericksburg, and Paige and Matthew Elliott both of Baltimore, MD; and her great grandchildren, Rylan, Logan and Ethan Clarke and Mikayla and Richard Rogucki all of Fredericksburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Monaco; and her brother, Joseph H. Quaintance.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 9 am at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
Burial at Culpeper National Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community, 12425 Village Loop, Culpeper, VA 22701 &/or to a charity of your choice.
