Julia Belle Jones' Obituary
Julia Belle Brown Jones, passed away suddenly on February 8, 2012 at Fauquier Hospital with her beloved family at her side. Julia Belle, a native of Madison County, was born May 8, 1921 the daughter of the late Elmer and Leah Brown.
Julia Belle has been a resident of Culpeper since she attended business school after graduating from Madison High School. She ran the office at the “pants factory” in Culpeper until its closing, and made many long time friends there. She retired from a long career at the Farmers Home Administration in Culpeper. Julia Belle was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Culp and husband, Dwayne, and Teresa Rosenberger and husband, Brad. Julia loved her grandchildren, Shawn Brown and wife, Heather of Florida, Susan Brown of Rixeyville, both children of Donna and Dwayne. As well as Nathan, Natalie and Amanda Rosenberger, Courtney Hale and husband, Eric, all of Jeffersonton, who are all children of Teresa and Brad. She was blessed to have known and loved four great grandchildren, Caileigh and Gavin Brown, Anika Brown and Hunter Hale.
Julia Belle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd T. Jones, son, Lloyd T. “Tom” Jones, Jr., daughter, Fonda L. Jones Byrd, and son-in-law, Garnet C. Brown. Also preceding her were her step mother, Myra Brown, brothers, Walter Burley Brown, Elmer Brown, Jr., Elverse Brown, Baldwin Brown and sister, Beatrice Brown Shotwell. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews she cherished.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. John S. Farrar officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am, just prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Gourdvine Baptist Church, 7103 Eggbornsville Rd., Rixeyville, VA 22737.
