Juanita "Nita" Graham 's Obituary
Juanita Anne Graham “Nita”, 63, of Culpeper died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the University of VA Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1947 in Washington, DC to the late Stanley Whitfield and Ella Herring Hooe.
Mrs. Graham was a charter member of Reformation Lutheran Church where she served on the worship committee and handled the floral tributes. In her earlier years she worked in the Separation and Retirement Division in the Marine Corp and later worked as secretary for Dr. Poole, Dr. Cook and Dr. Suter. For the last 25 years she worked as secretary for her husband’s business, Graham Appraisal Services. From an early age she was an avid Victorian glass collector and seller of antiques. Above all, she enjoyed and cherished her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, David L. Graham, two children, Anne Colby Logan and her husband, Aaron of Woodbridge, Lindsey Van Lear Graham of Gainesville, two sisters, Marie Heflin and Margaret V. Harris, both of Orlando, FL, four grandchildren, Kodi and Trevor Logan and Nicholas and Whitney Duszak, as well as a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brad Hales officiating.
Interment will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Valley View Cemetery in Nokesville.
