Joyce Marie Blankenbaker's Obituary
Joyce Marie Blankenbaker, 76, of Orange, VA passed away August 2, 2022 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. She was born August 22, 1945 in Albemarle County to the late Louis Reed Pritchett and Daisy Frances Via Pritchett.
Joyce was retired from the Silk Mill as a weaver. She was also a member of Mt. Lebanon Church of the Brethren in Barboursville, VA.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Melissa Scott (Jeff); son, Earl Blankenbaker (Tammy); brothers, Louie Pritchett (Juanita), Harold Pritchett (Malia), and Roy Pritchett (Katy); sisters, Frances Snow, Shirley Moon, Patsy Thomas, Elizabeth Walker (Tyrone), and Sandra Hilbert (Eddie); grandchildren, Amanda Scott (Marty), Tiffany Scott, Vanessa Blankenbaker (Miles), Liza Wolfe (Jeremy), Alicia Foster (Daniel), and Veronica Blankenbaker (Andy); and great grandchildren, Karter Wolfe, Kameron Wolfe, and Grayson Foster.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Page Blankenbaker; her brother, Michael Pritchett, Sr.; and nephew, Michael Pritchett, Jr.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Graham Cemetery, Orange, VA.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Marty Ringler, Jr., Andy Archibald, Miles Golden, Alex Happe, Jeremy Wolfe, and Daniel Foster.
