Josephine Mukes' Obituary
Josephine Mukes was born to the late John Hilton Jones Sr. and Rosie Lee Pigues on September 22, 1945 in Miller, Mississippi.
Josephine loved to fish, read, travel and she loved the Lord. She gave her life to Christ at a young age and continued to praise and testify of his goodness even until her homegoing. She married Joseph Mukes Sr. on April 3, 1967 and to this union was blessed with six children.
Josephine was preceded in death by her mother and father, four brothers: Joel, Nathaniel, Lemmie and John Jr.
She leaves to celebrate her life six children: Josephine (Melissa) Jones of Lehigh, Florida; Joseph (Shazana) Mukes of Moore, Oklahoma; Lameenya Landrum of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Christopher Mukes of Ina, Illinois; Mystle Hoyle of Lansing, Michigan and Timothy Mukes of Moore, Oklahoma. Josephine loved her grandchildren and leaves to cherish her memory nineteen grandchildren. She also leaves: three brothers: Daniel and Robert Jones of Florida and William Jones of Illinois; three sisters: Jannie (George) Wilson of Florida, Shirley Jones of Florida and Jawanda Watkins of Michigan. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends who affectionately called her “Aunt Sista”.
