Joseph Paul Valent's Obituary
Joseph Paul Valent, beloved son, brother, and cousin, passed away on October 20, 2025, in Warrenton, Virginia.
Born on September 2, 1947, Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Valent and Blanca Cobo Valent, and his brother, Edward Anthony Valent. He is survived by his loving cousins and extended family, who will forever cherish his memory.
A proud graduate of Saint Joseph Academy in Brownsville, Texas, Class of 1965, Joe was known as both a model student and a talented trombone player. His love of learning continued throughout his life—he earned a Master of Arts in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Arts in Philosophy from The University of Dayton, and a Master of Science in Information Technology from George Mason University.
Joe was an avid runner and passionate world traveler. No matter where his adventures took him, he never lost touch with home, often sending thoughtful notes and gifts to share his experiences and remind his family of his love.
He will be remembered for his generous spirit, intellectual curiosity, and devotion to family.
