Joseph Daniel Taylor Sr.'s Obituary
Joseph Daniel Taylor, Sr., 81, of Colonial Beach passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home.
Joseph was a lifetime member of the Plumbers and Gas Fitters Local 5 for more than 53 years and a member of the Eagles Aerie 4123.
He was an avid Redskins fan, handyman and he always enjoyed helping others. Joseph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 59 years, Juanita; three sons, Jack D. Taylor (Jamie) of Maryland, Jeffrey D. Taylor of Canada, and Jerome D. “Jerry” Taylor (Lisa) of Partlow; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Joseph D. Taylor, Jr.; five brothers; and a sister.
Joseph’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Joseph’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
