Dr. Joseph F. Stover's Obituary
Joseph F. Stover, 90, of Spotsylvania went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017.
Joe was a pastor and educator for over fifty years in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Marie, his sons, Joseph F. Stover, Jr. and his wife, Judy, William P. Stover and his wife Amy, and Peter D. Stover and his wife Chris, two brothers, Charles and Robert Stover, nine grandchildren, Julie, Blaire, Barrett, Paul, Becky, Sarah, Abby, Adam and Katy, 14 great-grandchildren, and other loving extended family.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Virginia and Florence.
A service to remember Joe and honor his Lord will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Spotswood Baptist Church, 4009 Lafayette Blvd., Fredericksburg. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Persecution Project Foundation at persecutionproject.org.
