Joseph B. Nelson's Obituary
Joseph B. Nelson, 74, of Haywood, VA passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Culpeper Health and Rehab. He was born July 22, 1949 to the late Claus and Anna Nelson in Rantoul, Illinois.
Joe was a Lt. Colonel with the U.S. Air Force where he retired after many years of service.
Joe is survived by his wife, Alberta Nelson; his children, Steven Nelson and his wife, Margaret, and Kathryn Sikora and husband, Christopher; grandson, Gregory Nelson; brother, Robert Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
