Joseph Bennett Meaux Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph B. Meaux, Jr., 83, of Fredericksburg, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Woodmont Center.
Born January 16, 1928 in Rayne, Louisiana to the late Joseph and Martha Meaux, Sr.
Joseph spent 21 years in the US Marine Corp. during which time he served in the Korean War. His favorite past-times were fishing, NASCAR racing and camping at Monroe Bay.
Joseph is survived by two sons; Donald G. Meaux of Frederick, MD and Ronald W. Meaux and his wife Bonnie Baker of Fredericksburg; his grandsons, Brett A. Meaux and Ryan A. Meaux both of Clermont, Fla. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joseph is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Caroline Meaux.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Hulls Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Rick Clore officiating.
Pallbearers listed; Donnie Cornwell, Marvin Pell, David Culpepper, Doug Monroe, Troy Arida and Duke Newton.
