Jordan Marie Gentile's Obituary
Jordan Marie Gentile, 16, of Spotsylvania County passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
She was a junior at Spotsylvania High School, where she was an honor roll student working towards obtaining her advanced diploma and attending the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Jordan’s favorite passion in life was playing volleyball. She enjoyed doing volunteer work, tutoring and was a mentor to many of her friends.
She will be remembered most for always having a smile on her face and being a very generous person.
Jordan is survived by her parents, Michael and Sherry Gentile; three special cousins, Anthony, Mark and Jada; her aunt, Cindy Mitchell of Texas; two uncles, Christopher Gentile and his wife, Sandy of Pennsylvania and Joseph Gentile, Jr. of New Jersey; her maternal grandparents, Mary and J.C. Lacy of Florida; her paternal grandmother, Carmella Gentile of New Jersey; and a host of other family and close friends.
Jordan’s family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Spotswood Baptist Church, 4009 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Jordan’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the volleyball program at Spotsylvania High School, 6975 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22551; please note that donation is for the Volleyball Program.
