Jonathan Humphrey Kessy's Obituary
Jonathan Humphrey Kessy, 28, of Mitchells, died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. He was born September 30, 1995 in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
Jonathan was a veteran of the US Navy. Prior to that he graduated from Liberty Christian Academy and went to Liberty University to study computer science. Jonathan was loving, cheerful, kind-hearted, and a follower of Jesus. He enjoyed playing soccer and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Godliving J. Kessy; mother, Consolata Kahemele; grandmother, Maria Kahemele; five siblings, Doreen Kessy, Pendaeli Kessy (Marie Solange), Neema Kessy, Naomi Kessy, and Loveness Kessy; his nieces Zenyari Kessy, Zekaiyah Kessy and a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Steve Dodson III officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2524 and the US Navy.
