John Rusty Bowers, III's Obituary
John Russell “Rusty” Bowers III, 27, of Culpeper went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at his residence. He was born on August 16, 1982 in Charlottesville, VA to John Russell “Junior” Bowers Jr. and Brenda Jenkins Bowers of Culpeper.
Rusty was a 2000 graduate of Culpeper County High School. He enjoyed shooting pool, watching football and basketball games, playing basketball and loved to eat big country meals with his family during the holidays. Rusty cherished the time spent with his family and deeply loved his brother, his parents and his friends. He was a wonderful son and brother and was loved by everyone who knew him. Rusty will be remembered as a loving and caring person and is now at peace with God.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his siblings, Dustin Mark Bowers of Culpeper, Jeffery Wayne Bowers and his wife, Mary Ellen of Culpeper, Christie Miller and her husband, Robbie of Orange and Carrie Gallihan and her husband, Lee of Front Royal, his grandmother, Mabel Jenkins, and his dog, Oreo.
Additional survivors include his nephew, Jeffery Bowers, Jr., nieces, Kala Bowers, Ashley and Amanda Gallihan and Alyssa Miller, a special friend, Crystal Hess, four aunts, Linda White, Ann Blankenbaker, Dottie Fincham and Janice Thorpe and her husband, Gene, and four uncles, James Jenkins and his wife, Nancy, Charles Jenkins and his wife, Nancy, Donnie Jenkins and his wife, Wanda and Kenny Jenkins and his wife, Annie.
Rusty is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Russell Bowers and Dorothy Mae Bowers, his maternal grandfather, George William Jenkins and four uncles, Robert Lee Bowers, Ashby Bowers, Tommy Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins and by one of his best friends, Justin Pullen.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Dr. R. Wayne Bernardo officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Moneymaker, Blair Pullen, Matt Corbin, Raymond Newman, Jason Reese, and Steven Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Allen Bowers, Bo Dillon and George Dillon.
