John Moffett Fincham's Obituary
John Moffett Fincham, 66, lifelong resident of Culpeper went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 12, 2007. He was born January 17, 1941 to the late Moffett Spillman and Mary Virginia Wines Fincham.
John was a founding and active member of “The Culpeper Cruisers” and enjoyed spending time with his many car club family and friends. He had a passion for life and above all was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Catherine Ann Ryder Fincham, his son, James Allen Fincham and his wife, Cathy, two daughters, Jo Ann Dinges and her husband, Wes, and Kirstie Jo Fincham, two brothers, Jack Fincham and his wife, Darlene, and Patrick Fincham, and one sister, Clara Mae Johnson and her husband, William.
Additional survivors include one grandson, Paul Jonathan Sites, granddaughters, Carolyn Walker, Suzanne Fincham, Kimberly Patterson, Samantha Dinges, granddad’s little “Sammy-O”, great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Marie Zorn, Carolyn Jo Ann Sites, Adrian Charles Patterson, Tyler James Walker, and a host of other loved family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Noah Linwood Fincham, one sister, Gladys Johannis, and granddaughters, Paula Jo Zorn and Lea Renee Fincham-Deane.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 6 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
