John Franklin Matthews' Obituary
John Franklin Matthews, 20, of Culpeper County died Friday, June 13, 2008. He was born February 16, 1988 to Timothy Michael Matthews and Grace Clark Gillispie.
He loved playing and watching tennis and watching movies. He was on the tennis team at Lynchburg College after graduating in 2006 from Culpeper County High School. He is remembered as a loving son, a terrific big brother and a very good friend to all.
Mr. Matthews is survived by his parents, his step-father, Matthew Kyle Gillispie, two brothers, Justin Clark and Joseph Kyle Gillispie, and a sister Rebecca Lauren Gillispie. Other survivors include his paternal grandparents Frank Cliser and Mary S. Matthews of Silver Spring, Maryland, his step-mother, Michelle Matthews, and his step-grandparents, Harry and Laneta Gillispie of Chatham, Virginia.
He is also survived by two half-sisters, Natalie and Madeline Matthews.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John B. and Adeline Clark.
