John Chilton Yowell's Obituary
John Chilton Yowell, 66, died on June 16, 2023, at the Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was predeceased by his parents, John W Yowell, Jr. and Katherine Moomaw Yowell; brother, Lewis Cowherd Yowell.
John is survived by his brother, William Moomaw Yowell (Julie); four nephews, Michael (Laurie), Eric (Teresa), Jeffrey (Mechelle) Jorgensen, and Bryan Sprinkel (Megan); special friend, Scott Fisher.
John was baptized at an early age at Culpeper Baptist Church and loved going to church
John worked at various businesses in Culpeper before becoming disabled with lipedema. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, fireman's parades, and was an avid Virginia Tech and Dallas Cowboy fan. John loved Halloween and Christmas and being with family.
Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery and conducted by The Rev. Trent Moore at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 30, 2023.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Culpeper Volunteer Fire Department at 151-153 West Davis Street, Culpeper, VA 22701.
